Edmond Pizza Joint Humble Pie Wins Brand-Aid 2016

“Holy cow” was the simple, yet appropriate reaction from Matthew Heard, owner of Humble Pie. His surprise is indicative of the kind of person he is and why his business is appropriately named Humble Pie.

Humble Pie, located at 1319 S. Broadway in Edmond, serves authentic Chicago deep dish and New York style pizza. “We are beyond thrilled and honored to receive this opportunity to rebrand with ICG,” said Heard. “We’re excited to work with them and all of their partners to create a fresh face for our business!”

Since the kickoff of Brand-Aid in late November, we’ve received almost 100 nominations from a diverse group of local businesses. Rounding out the top three finalists were Chester’s Party Barn & Farm in Piedmont and My Chic Geek in Warr Acres.

“Many great small businesses were nominated, and the choice wasn’t easy,” said ICG CEO and partner Eric Joiner. “Our committee really considered their needs to find the best fit for the giveaway.”

To make the prize package more valuable, we called upon many of our business partners to sweeten the deal, offering free advertising, products and services as part of the prize.

“Humble Pie will be getting a brand and media package valued at $100,000, thanks to some valuable OKC partners we trust in and rely on daily,” said Rusty Duncan, COO and ICG partner. “We really want to give Humble Pie all the benefits of having a big agency on their side, with none of the cost.”

The overhaul will include ICG branding services for graphic design, web, signage, commercial production, social media, photography and strategy. In addition, the media package will include digital billboards from Lamar, radio commercials from Cumulus Media, and television commercials from Cox Media, plus print and digital ads from the Oklahoma Gazette and 405 Magazine. Quik Print will help in providing printed materials, and the Oklahoma Shirt Company will provide staff shirts.

“This overhaul will be an accelerated process completed over a couple weeks in January,” said Doug Farthing, Chief Creative Officer and partner. “Be on the lookout for exciting changes to take place at Humble Pie very soon, as we work to let everyone know about their delicious, authentic pizza.”
