Together, you and your Copywriter partner do the messy work of bringing brilliant creative into the world. Most of your concepts will suck. Some will be mid. But the shiny ones – the Big Ideas – make the work worthwhile.
This is a full-time, hands-on, in-person position with a salary based on experience.
Responsibilities
We could spit out a precise list of requirements, but keyword grifters would blast us with unqualified leads. So without getting too lost in the weeds, here’s a summary of your daily duties. As an Art Director at ICG you will:
- Partner with a Copywriter to develop creative concepts
- Use research and strategic thinking skills to understand goals and the audience
- Establish the visual direction for brands and campaigns
- Review the work with creative leadership before it reaches Account and Strategy
- Present work internally, and collaborate with the Creative Director and Account team to best sell the ideas to the client
- Work with the Creative and Video teams to bring concepts to life
- Coordinate and communicate with outside partners to ensure the creative vision is faithfully executed
- Provide creative leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Graphic Designers
- Oversee the production phase to ensure final deliverables follow brand standards, ladder up to the creative concept, and align with the brief.
Requirements
- A killer portfolio
- A reasonable number of years of experience
- A demonstrated understanding of advertising, branding, and marketing industries
- Leadership and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with the standard tools of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), with bonus experience in other creative tools (After Effects, Procreate, Google Slides, Figma, etc.)
- Must be an overall good human being
