The brand for southwest Oklahoma-based bank is rooted in community.
Great Plains Bank has a rich 100 year history of serving Western Oklahoma. In late 2015, ICG partnered with GPB to rebrand the bank and mortgage company.
The updated brand reflects Great Plains Bank rich history in rural communities, while also depicting forward progress. Because so many of their customers past and present have agricultural backgrounds, the abstract wheat shape pays homage to that relationship, while still feeling modern. The use of Helvetica is a way to keep the brand modern yet timeless, and it also feels friendlier, mirroring the importance they place on customer relationships.
The new brand launched in July of 2016 with a series of commercials featuring real Great Plains Bank customers, many of them multi-generational customers. The :30 spots reflect the bank’s history in rural communities, while also depicting forward progress.
