A full-time position leading media strategy, planning, and buying for our client roster.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Media Director to lead media strategy, planning, and buying for our client roster. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll set the media strategy and own it all the way through execution; no hand-off to a separate buying team. You’ll work closely with our Media Coordinator, who supports billing, reporting, and maintenance tasks, so your time stays focused on strategy, planning, and getting buys right.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop media strategy and channel/budget recommendations tailored to each client’s goals
  • Build and manage media plans across digital display, video, paid search, broadcast, outdoor, print and other channels as needed.
  • Present strategy, plans, and results to clients with a clear point of view on the “why,” not just the numbers.
  • Own media budgets end-to-end: allocation, pacing against goals, and billing reconciliation.
  • Negotiate with media vendors and problem-solve issues with both the client and vendors.
  • Partner with our creative and account teams to make sure media strategy and creative work together to make our clients unignorable.
  • Stay ahead of platform changes, ad formats, and industry trends, and bring new opportunities to clients proactively.
  • Work with the Media Coordinator to ensure accurate billing and reporting, reviewing and interpreting results together.
  • Provide strategic guidance on new business projects and client growth opportunities.
  • Research, recommend, and negotiate resources needed for the media team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of media experience, including time spent building strategy and plans, as well as media buying.
  • Platform fluency in Strata, or similar media buying software.
  • A track record of owning media budgets and being accountable for performance against them.
  • Experience of managing client flowcharts with high-level of detail and accuracy
  • Comfort and competency in presenting to clients directly with the ability to explain strategy and results in plain language.
  • Self-sufficiency: you’re comfortable being in the platforms yourself and managing your workload.
  • A collaborative mindset — you’ll work daily with creative, accounts, and our Media Coordinator.
  • Genuine curiosity about media trends and a bias toward testing new approaches for clients.
